This week we spoke about scaling a company. It is easier to sell 10 people $10k per month than 1k people $100 per month. The latter requires a larger corporate structure, lots of people doing customer support.
We also had a new member describe his basketball project. He said it required AI for scoring and ranking users and the mvp would be done in 2 weeks. At the solofounders we often quote the LeanStartup philosophy. So we suggested to Brad to not wait for the mvp to be ready before doing validation and market research. You can get a video editor to make a video of how the app should work, post that on an instagram and see if anyone tries to purchase the smoke-and-mirrors product on a shopify site. Very few people like to hear this advice because its no-bullshit, and very difficult to get people to give you money. But it is better to learn this quickly and adapt your product to something people will buy and/or you can build quickly. #business
