SoloFounders is a newsletter featuring non confidential material discussed by company founders.

Did you know this person before being cofounders? There are many reason to have a cofounder. For one, its one of the things programs like YCombinator (and by extension Venture Capitalists) look for. You can imagine that having a cofounder helps when a startup gets hard (and they always do!).
Similarly there are many reason not to look for a cofounder. If it means the difference between solofounding or cofounding with the wrong cofounder, Iād say solofound. Like finding a lifelong partner, finding a cofounder should be an organic process. It should be obvious who to reach out to when the right opportunity comes along.
