This week we spoke about leveraging minor success into larger successes. We discussed how in business you need to work with whatever you have. If you have money you can hire help. If you only have time you need to use that time to develop whatever you can, a website, a facebook group, guerrilla marketing, anything.
Then, whatever progress you do make becomes leverage. Say you have a website, now you can show that to people you want to recruit and say, “Here look we have a website.” Once you have one teammate you can approach businesses and say, “Here look we have a website and a team.” So on and so forth.
We also discussed this weeks’ Funded podcast episode. Erin Carpenter worked on her startup for 10 years before she got outside investment. This story resonated with me. If you are working on a problem that you care about be ready to work for a very long time before you see the success you want.
